ZONA NORTE is an official neighborhood as well as a red light district located in Tijuana, Mexico. It is among the largest red-light districts in North America known for its brothels, which presuient themselves in public as strip clubs and bars. "DÉSIRES ABSTRAITS” By: Jennette Laven || Is an exploration into one woman’s sexual psyche through the isolated and abstract depths of her mind. Flashes of strange erotic scenes begin to manifest. It is a viewing and acquiring of her subconscious arousal, dipped in crimson, an emboldened and violent female color the subject identifies with. She sinks in and let’s it take her where she has kept it buried — in a place absent of need and want, where there is no room for others. She tastes the forbidden fruit and begins to fuse with this unknown self, becoming red.
"Tail Between My Legs” By: Alana Derksen Is A 40 page photo diary touching on Alana’s intimate experience with spiritual malady, sex abuse and suicide. Often alluding to intimacy problems, isolation, and crippling self-hatred, these photographs intend to uncover her experience from the outside looking in without the crutch of alcohol and opioids. "Eternal Hatred Sofia” By: Alexander Peli is a photographic project focusing on an Eternal Derby, the Levski vs CSKA football match at Vasil Levski Stadium. A connection is made between sport fanaticism, identity, brotherhood, and fascist/racist ideologies attached to Bulgarian/Balkan football that are hated, tolerated and in some cases celebrated.
